C2IO: The most Credible Chief!
Most company’s immediate reaction to the new economic reality was to focus on their cost structure. In 2010 the recession shifted to small economic growth and companies started to look at their top line growth again. In both situations technology enabled solutions can support companies to drive competitive cost structures and grab new opportunities. This will lead to the question: what was the CIO’s impact on the business during this period. Which was the most important theme we talked about during CIO Day 2009; Chief Impact Officer! In conjunction with that theme and the ever growing call for true leadership, we find it extremely important for the CIO community to really gain credibility! Has the CIO been recognized as credible partner by his peers in the management team? Or in short: have we, as CIO community, established ourselves as credible leaders driving business performance?
