Van Hout (1967) was born in Nieuwkoop and studied econometrics in Amsterdam. Before joining Transavia, he worked at KLM and an insurance company. He likes to work in a professional environment where clear goals have to be achieved. He is perceived as analytic, structured, cost conscious and results driven. Making the change happen, that is what drives him. He is a proud father of a daughther and three sons. Spare time left is dedicated to travelling, sports (soccer, running, skating) and gardening.
||Ron van Kemenade, CIO, ING Bank
Ron van Kemenade is the global CIO for ING Bank. He is responsible for all information technology globally in ING, including IT strategy, architecture, IT development and operations.
He has lead a very successful transformation of the global IT function, simplifying the technology landscape, introducing and maturing an agile way of working, and investing in the knowledge and competencies of the IT engineers.
Ron van Kemenade joined ING in 2003, first as head of internet banking for Postbank, later as director of retail channels and payments.
In 2011 he became CIO for ING Netherlands; in March 2013 he was appointed global CIO for ING Bank.
René van Sandijk, CIO, Vanderlande
René van Sandijk is managing director ICT & QM and CIO of Vanderlande. He has responsibility for the company’s global information technology and process quality management function.
Since joining Vanderlande, René van Sandijk managed the global transition for the company processes to one set of flexible processes and tooling. As part of this transition Rene established the worldwide IT-organisation to support and optimize these processes and tooling.
Current focus is the support of Vanderlande’s Profitable Growth Strategy via the global continuous improvement program. This also includes the introduction of new (customer facing) ICT-services

Gerard Spans is executive vice president and group chief information officer of ARCADIS NV (Amsterdam). He has responsibility for the company’s global information technology function, supporting ARCADIS businesses worldwide, the company’s global business transformation program and the company’s global client-facing IT operations.
Since joining ARCADIS, Gerard Spans has established a global transition to one global IT organization, strengthening the value and contribution of IT for all ARCADIS businesses. He also defined a five-year global business transformation program, the “ARCADIS Way,” to deliver performance excellence.
Prior to his position at ARCADIS, Gerard Spans was senior executive and CIO at Rexam PLC, Philips Electronics N.V., and at Sara Lee. He garnered more than 10 years of experience in a variety of management consulting positions at Accenture Consulting. Spans has more than 20 years of experience in information technology in various management roles encompassing operational and business experience.
||Teun van der Vorm, CIO, ANWB
As the chief information officer (CIO), Teun van der Vorm (1966) serves as a member of the Board of Directors of ANWB. His previous positions include IT director at USG People and he was responsible for international data communication at KPN.
Professionalizing and transforming organizations to a higher level is his passion. He seeks for and focuses on the best possible balance between high levels of customer satisfaction, motivated employees and ambitious financial objectives. In doing so, he doesn’t hesitate to slaughter sacred cows - albeit in a subtle way.
Teun van der Vorm studied mathematics and informatics at Leiden University and graduated with distinction. Throughout his career, he has attended many courses in IT, marketing, management and change management.
