Break out details

13:30-14:45   BREAK OUT SESSION PART I

  ROUNDTABLE SESSION BY NETAPP
Title:   Full Stack or best of bread delivery model for infrastructure platform solutions
Theme:   Will recently formed technology partnerships (for example NetApp, Cisco, VMware) that have created a new delivery model offer more value and decrease the risk associated with best of breed solutions?
In this new model due to better integration, jointly certified architectures and the integrated after sales service models risks previously covered by end users are now mitigated.
Host&Speaker: Peter Wilbrink, Country Manager NetApp

  ROUNDTABLE SESSION BY TREND MICRO
Title:   IT cost reduction while enhancing Security
Theme:   While Virtualisation, Consumerization and Cloud Computing opens up opportunities for enterprises to achieve cost savings and increased scalability of IT infrastructure, security concerns can sometimes obscure these benefits. This session will review some customer situations where security considerations became successful IT cost reduction factors.
Host&Speaker:  Patrick Dalvinck, Regional Director Trend Micro Benelux

ROUNDTABLE SESSION BY TALK & VISION (KPN)
Title:   Collaboration as a strategic asset?
Decissionmakers consider remote collaboration
Theme:   Nowadays good coordination and cooperation seems to be increasingly important for organizations that operate in dynamic, globalized and highly competitive markets. Cooperation has a growing impact on the performance of a company and even allows for a competitive advantage.
To determine whether collaboration in Dutch companies is on the agenda, Tijdschrift IT Management together with Talk & Vision (KPN) and Nyenrode recently performed research among senior management about collaboration technology with the aim of increasing the added value of remote collaboration. We are happy to share the results of this study during this roundtable.
Host:   Joost Deckers, Managing Director Talk & Vision
Speaker:   Arnoud van Gemeren, Editor in Chief Tijdschrift IT Management

  ROUNDTABLE SESSION BY RIVERBED
Title:   Virtual edge services, next step in branchoffice consolidation, and how to over come the cloud performance barriers.
Theme:   In the past, data centers and edge offices, were managed through separate operational processes and infrastructures. We will discuss how we bridge the gap between the Cloud Application Data Centers and the global offices at the edge, allowing for seamless integration between data center and globally distributed operations. Discussing a new architectural approach that does for edge servers outside of the data center what virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) did for desktops: allow IT to consolidate and manage all edge servers in the data center and overcome theCloud performance barriers.
Host:   Carel Bak Regional, Director BeNelux Riverbed Technology

  ROUNDTABLE SESSION BY RELIANCE GLOBALCOM
Title:   The future of Cloud Utility Services
“Cloud computing is changing the telco business model”
Theme:   Traditional telecom offerings migrate into the cloud and more and more over-the-top (OTT) players enter the telco value chain. Corporate CIOs should not ignore the network-centric nature of cloud-based solutions when developing their cloud strategies. Cloud solutions will increasingly be delivered by ecosystems of providers that include telcos, software, hardware, network vendors, and OTT providers. Who should fulfill the role of ecosystem manager?
Host:   Bertil Holthuis, President Northern Europe Reliance Globalcom
Speaker:   Dan Bieler, VP Research Forrester

15:15-16:30   BREAK OUT SESSIONS PART II

  ROUNDTABLE SESSION BY SAP
Title:   Growing pains of cloud computing
Theme:   Cloud computing differs from the model which is offered by traditional outsourcing companies. That model does not offer users the possibility to manage ICT solutions themselves. Cloud computing offers users benefits in terms of independency when it comes to hardware, time and working place. Furthermore it is not necessary to make large investments to make use of cloud computing. Indeed user/companies need to pay only for the actual usage, and per time frame. How is the acceptance of cloud computing in organizations? What are the opportunities for organizations related to the usage of cloud computing, and what are possible threats? What is the impact of cloud computing for the IT department? And will cloud computing cause any changes with respect to the role of the IT department, in future?
Host&Speaker:  Jean-Paul van Oijen, Senior Sales Executive SAP Cloud Solutions

  ROUNDTABLE SESSION BY IBM
Title:   IBM Mobile Device Management and Mobility
Theme:   As the world becomes more interconnected, integrated and intelligent, mobile devices are playing an ever-increasing role in changing the way people live, work and communicate. This is not just happening in personal life. Smart phones and tablets are also being rapidly adopted by Enterprises as new work tools, joining existing laptops and desktops.
The use of mobile devices for business has experienced an explosive growth in the past few years and will only accelerate in the near future.
Come and join the IBM team to discover our solutions and offerings. This is also a good opportunity to raise questions, potential concerns and have a discussion.
Host:   Marion Tummers, Cloud and Mobil specialist IBM
Speaker:   Marielle van der Vijver, Workplace Management specialist IBM

  ROUNDTABLE SESSION BY AKAMAI
Title:   How to assure optimum end-user experience for your internet facing business applications?
Theme:   In this session we discuss how to accommodate "outside in" enterprise networking environments where end users increasingly enter the enterprise applications via the uncontrolled public internet, using any device, anywhere.

It is expected that more than 80% of new applications will be deployed/distributed using the internet and that internet based cloud platforms will be the dominant model for application and solution delivery. Unfortunately, the internet does not offer the availability, safety, and control that enterprises demand for delivery of their business applications. Security, visibility, and control therefore take on heightened importance now that enterprise application delivery networks must support not only internet-based access to internally hosted applications but also business applications running on third-party cloud infrastructures.
Host&Speaker:  Hans Nipshagen, Manager Benelux Akamai Technologies.

  ROUNDTABLE SESSION BY VERIZON
Title:   Are you ready for the new MOCLO-era

Theme:

We’ve entered the Mobile Cloud era (MOCLO). Mobile devices and cloud technologies will shift IT’s vision of where data should be located and how it will be accessed. Rather than an “on-premise” or “off-premise” dialogue, a business will build policies on where data should reside and how it should be accessed. Mobile and cloud shatter the “firewall/DMZ” approach where all data is locked inside the corporate walls. In the MOCLO era, firms will create context-aware security profiles that allow data to move seamlessly and securely between the corporation, the cloud and devices. These profiles will be based on items such as type of device, location, users, regulations and roles.

Companies that understand and prepare for these tectonic shifts will deliver competitive advantage with technology. What’s your perspective?
Host:   Fedor Hoevenaars, AVP Sales NL, Verizon
Speaker:   John Madelin, SVP Professional Services, Verizon
