C2IO: The most Credible Chief!

Most company’s immediate reaction to the new economic reality was to focus on their cost structure. In 2010 the recession shifted to small economic growth and companies started to look at their top line growth again. In both situations technology enabled solutions can support companies to drive competitive cost structures and grab new opportunities. This will lead to the question: what was the CIO’s impact on the business during this period. Which was the most important theme we talked about during CIO Day 2009; Chief Impact Officer! In conjunction with that theme and the ever growing call for true leadership, we find it extremely important for the CIO community to really gain credibility! Has the CIO been recognized as credible partner by his peers in the management team? Or in short: have we, as CIO community, established ourselves as credible leaders driving business performance?

Together with over 500 participants from all over the world, the 6th CIO Day 2010 will be this year’s largest IT executives top event. Several IT professionals, visionaries, industry leaders and other hotshots will take the centre stage on the 15th & 16th of November to enlighten and inspire you. On the 15th, the exclusive pre-conference program, the prestigious CIO VIP Diner and entertaining after diner party will be on the program. Of course including the famous (CSR driven) auction CharITy, led by Christie’s! The CIO Day program will finish with the presentation of the CIO of the Year Award 2010 by HRH Bernhard van Oranje. Of course this years criteria will strongly be inline with this years theme! No big talks, only proof! In the Award process of the Top 10 nominees the Jury itself will execute validation checks with the CIO’s business leaders! In the end, we are only looking for the most Credible Chief as the CIO of the Year 2010!
